🎒 About the Backpack Kit

The Backpack Kit is designed specifically for creating a mini‑backpack‑style cake—similar in scale to popular compact fashion backpacks.

Unlike the other handbag bases, the Backpack Kit does not require additional supports. Its structure is self‑contained, making it quick to assemble and ideal for beginners or fast‑turnaround projects.

Each Backpack Kit includes:

  • Built‑in internal structure (no extra supports needed)
  • Velcro straps for attaching your decorated shoulder straps. PLEASE NOTE: These are not the same straps shown on the Toy Story backpack cake image — those were shop bought for that specific design.
  • Plastic shoulder‑strap templates designed for you to decorate, cover, or customise however you like

This kit is perfect for character backpacks, themed cakes, children’s birthdays, or any design where a cute, compact backpack shape is needed.

How to Choose and Order Your Carry Kit Cake Structure

Step 1: Choose Your Base:
  • Large Rectangle (10" x 5") Perfect for large handbags (Birkin style), shopping bags, or even a tool box cake.
  • Oval (9" x 7") Great for elegant handbags or purse cakes.
  • Clutch Bag (8" x 3" rectangle) Classic shape for small handbags or evening bags.
  • Gift Bag (5" x 3" rectangle) Ideal for Tiffany, Pandora, or any mini gift bag cake.
  • Large Round (6" round) Perfect for hat box cakes, paint can cakes, or oversized round bag cakes.
  • Mini Round (4" round) Great for mini hat box cakes, pumpkin trick-or-treat bags, or small round purses.
  • Backpack Kit (Mini Backpack Size) A standalone structure for creating a compact backpack cake — no additional supports required.
Step 2: Choose Your Supports (Not required for the Backpack Kit)
Supports come in pairs and are essential for carrying your cake by the handle (just like the real thing!). Select the length based on your cake’s size and style:
  • Long Supports (10") Best for tall or large bags.
  • Medium Supports (6") Great for medium-sized bags.
  • Small Supports (4") Ideal for clutch, gift bags, or mini round bases.
How many supports do I need?
  • For a bag with one handle: order 1 pair (2 supports).
  • For a bag with two handles: order 2 pairs (4 supports).

EXAMPLES:

  • the gift bag base ALWAYS needs 2 X PAIRS of SUPPORTS (usually small ones)
  • the large rectangle can use either one pair OR two pairs of either medium or long supports (dependent on design)
  • the clutch bag base uses EITHER 1 pair of small supports OR one pair of medium supports. 
All bases and supports are interchangeable for maximum creative flexibility!
Step 3: Add Your Own Handle
Handles are not included in the kit, giving you the freedom to customise your cake!

Return & Refund Policy

I want you to enjoy your product! If you find that it is damaged on arrival, please notify us within 7 days of receipt of your goods.

If the item you receive is faulty please notify us as soon as you become aware of the fault. Any electrical items are covered by a 2 year warranty.

If you change your mind about the product and wish to return it, you must notify me of your intention to do so within 28 days of purchase. The item must be sealed, unused and in perfect condition. You must be able to provide proof of purchase. If these conditions are satisfied a return address can be supplied to you then you must return the item by recorded delivery at your own expense.
