The Great Nottinghamshire Cake-Off

Meet Daniel, he's my amazing 13 year old son. Daniel is the most kind, caring, hardworking and pleasant teenager I know. Because of all these qualities, he's been selected to represent his county, and country in the 2019 World Jamboree (for scouting) in West Virginia for three exciting weeks in August next year.

This is already a massive achievement, but in order to take up his place, he has one more hurdle to climb. He must now raise the £3,500 to attend. Whilst I do not want to just hand this to him on a plate - I would, as his mother like to do something to help. So I'm organising what should be a fun and well attended event to raise some funds, for not just Daniel but also other scouts and ventures scouts in the Rushcliffe area (units 7 & 8) who have been lucky enough to be selected.

ALL proceeds will go to into the Jamboree fund raising account.

so what will be there on the day:

• Live demonstrations from some of the worlds best cake decorators throughout the day.

• Have a go and take home - cupcake decorating

• Gin balloon glass decorating and gin cocktail tasting

• Remote control car cake race track! - have a go at racing my car cake around the track, the fasted on the day wins a remote control car kit to take home

• Tasty bakes and treats made by the scouts
• stalls such as , karen Davies, the Wow cake company, Dinkydoodle Designs, Sweet Success, Patchwork cutters, sugar and crumbs , laser hub UK ....
• Hamster racing ! ( not real ones don't worry- no hamsters will be harmed on the day)
• raffle, secret goody bags and more!
• cake - off Cake competition ... why not enter, YOU could be crowned star baker???
• there's a bar serving all manner of hot and cold drinks, and a restaurant on site if you would like to purchase food.
