These Cake Shapes are a brand-new range and are currently printed to order while I build up stock.

This means dispatch will take a little longer than my usual ready-to-ship items. I'll be printing in batches to keep quality high (for example: a tray of teapots, then bows, then the next design, etc.), so if your order includes multiple different shapes, it may take a few extra days to complete. Even if you’ve ordered just one item, it may still take a few days to reach the top of the print list. Please allow around 10 working days for dispatch, but as always, I'll get your order out as quickly as I can.

Dinkydoodle Cake Shapes are ready-to-decorate 2D and 3D shapes designed to sit beautifully on cakes — with a unique keyhole locking system + spike that helps secure your shape to the front or top of your cake.

The half vase is such a cool idea for any cake. Imagine it - an elegant vase shape with a flat back, capable of holding sugar flowers, artificial flowers, even real flowers - and you can actually keep them fresh by adding water! (See full tutorial for details.) The unique keyhole and securing spike will make it easy to transport as the vase will be secured to the front of your cake.

How to use

1. Choose your Cake Shape option from the dropdown menu. 
2. Decorate your shape (or leave it uncovered and simply add finishing touches).
3. Attach the spike using the keyhole locking device.
4. Secure to your cake:

• • Option A: insert the spike directly into the cake
  • Option B (recommended for extra peace of mind): slot the spike neatly into a white, open standard PME cake dowel (food-safe)

Materials & cake-safety note

These Cake Shapes are 3D printed using PCL and are designed to be used as external cake decorations - watch the full tutorials to see these in action.

If you prefer an extra "peace of mind” option, you can pop the spike into a food-safe PME dowel first, then place the dowel into the cake — it’s a neat, secure way to display your topper while keeping things nice and tidy.
